How to Donate Your Cans and Bottles to Critter Care Wildlife Society

1. Collect your refundable containers

Gather your empty cans, plastic bottles, and other refundable beverage containers.

2. Bag them up

Use clear, sealed 90-litre bags (found at most grocery, dollar, or hardware stores).

3. Create or log in to your Return-It Express account

Visit return-it.ca or download the Return-It app.

  • Once logged in, choose Critter Care Wildlife Society as your donation recipient.
  • You can set this up as a one-time or automatic recurring donation.
  • NOTE: You can also skip this step and just provide the Return-It Express location with Critter Care's phone number - 604-530-2054. The funds go directly to Critter Care Wildlife Society.


4. Drop off your bags

Head to any Return-It Express location.

  • Scan your barcode at the Express kiosk.
  • Place your bags in the designated drop area.
  • You can drop off up to six bags per visit.


5. Your donation is processed automatically

The depot counts your containers and sends the refund value directly to Critter Care’s account—no phone call needed.
