Are you passionate about wildlife and looking for a rewarding opportunity?
Join us at Critter Care Wildlife Society (CCWS) in Langley, B.C., Canada. Help us raise and care for orphaned, injured, and sick native B.C. mammal species. Gain hands-on experience while making a difference!
Our Mission: Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Release
At Critter Care, our mission is simple: to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife. Each year, we intake around 3,000 animals that need care, and with your help, they are given the chance to return to their natural habitat.
Accommodation: Room and Board
Stay On-Site
We provide
free on-site accommodation for all our interns. You'll live in one of our 4 intern cabins, which house up to 8 people in bunk beds. We also provide basic food amenities to ensure you're well-supported during your stay.
Your Schedule: It’s Not a 9-to-5 Job
Expect Long, Fulfilling Days
Wildlife rehabilitation is demanding, and the hours can be long. Interns are expected to work 5 days a week with 2 non-consecutive days off. Here’s what to expect:
- Operating Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Baby Season: Milk feeds can start as early as 6 AM, and the animals need feeding every 2-3 hours, sometimes through the night.
Breaks are given throughout the day to help you stay energized for this fulfilling work.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship opportunity.
Your Impact: Hands-On Wildlife Care
Make a Difference
At CCWS, your efforts directly impact the lives of native B.C. wildlife. From feeding baby animals to assisting with medical care, every task plays a role in their rehabilitation. By the end of your stay, we’ll provide you with a written reference that highlights your contributions.
