AECFV provides a complimenting service to your regular veterinarian by providing emergency and critical care for companion animals, exotics and pocket pets. Just like a human emergency room, we are structured to provide state-of-the-art emergency and critical care when your regular veterinarian is unavailable. Once your pet’s condition is stabilized you have the option to refer back to your regular veterinarian for ongoing care.
Communication with your regular veterinarian is one of the most important services we provide and is an example of the standard of care we provide. AECFV has been providing emergency and critical care coverage since 1996 to more than 100 general practitioners throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Over this time, we have developed effective protocols and collaborative relationships with these veterinarians in order to provide their clients with the best emergency care possible.
These protocols ensure there are no missed steps or communication between our facility and your regular veterinarian as well as any necessary specialists.
Our doctors and staff are specially trained in emergency and critical care and our new hospital, opened in December of 2017, carries advanced diagnostic technologies, state-of-the-art surgical rooms, cutting edge intensive care units, and more. Should your pet require emergency veterinary care, you can be sure that he or she will receive the best possible care within a fully-equipped, modern facility.
While we hope your pet will never need emergency care, you can be assured that AECFV is here 24/7 to provide life-saving medical services when it is most needed.
We are open 24-hours per day, 365 days per year for emergencies.
