Company Description:

Critter Care Wildlife Society is a charitable organization located in Langley, British Columbia.

Our mission is to provide short and long term care to native mammal species and through

rehabilitation and public education, help prevent suffering of injured and orphaned wildlife.


Position Description:

We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, dedicated, and is experienced in

most of the responsibilities below. Someone who perhaps is looking for this field as a career

option.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily animal care and assists in training & organizing interns on the care of
  • animals.
  • Triage new animal admissions.
  • Cleans and sets up of incubators, rooms and outdoor enclosures.
  • Capture and restraint of injured animals both on a rescue and those in care.
  • Assists with animal releases.
  • Answers questions and concerns expressed by the public, interns and all other citizens
  • in a respective and professional manner.


Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a wildlife rehabilitation center, veterinary hospital, or zoo facility providing hands-on care is an asset.
  • Experience in medications and dosages.
  • Experience in rescue and wildlife restraints.
  • Proficient in computer software programs and social media platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and very respectful of the
  • public and each other.
  • Must have a valid Canadian drivers license.


Salary: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour dependent on experience
