Lynette was born in New Zealand and moved to Canada as a baby. She was raised and educated in North Burnaby. She worked for Telus for 30 years and retired from there in 2006. She then worked for Home Depot for 14 years and now has retired from there.

Lynette got involved with Critter Care thru her sister Janice and has been volunteering at Critter Care for 6 years and loving every minute of it.
