Helping Hands: Daniel

This young man is definitely going places in the future. Below he tells it like it is!

Thank you, Daniel, for your hard work with your lemonade stand and for helping all the animals. They are lucky to have you as a friend.

Hi everyone! I am Daniel, and I am 7 years old. I love animals of all kinds, and I hope to become

a veterinarian one day! I want to help animals who are sick, if their owners can’t pay for their medicine and doctors. I also maybe want to work at Critter Care.

I can’t help the animals by myself yet, so I decided to sell lemonade to make money to give to Critter Care to help them until I am old enough to do it myself! My mom and I made 200 lemons into lemonade, and we made sugar scones and lemon scones, and chocolate chip cookies. We got to give lemonade to our mailman, and amazon delivery man, and a whole group of kids learning to ride their bikes. We promised to give ½ of the money we earned to Critter Care because I really wanted a new video game and a set of nunchuks for Taekwondo. We earned so much money in only 4 hours, and we got to meet some really nice people who told us lots of stories about Critter Care helping animals that they found. Best of all, I got my video game! My mom won’t let me have nunchuks yet though.

So many people on Facebook were sad because they couldn’t come to my lemonade stand because we had to do it on a Friday and they were all at work. My mom told me that we could do another lemonade stand 2 weeks later on a weekend, and I was so excited! My grandma made billions of her FAMOUS chocolate chip cookies which are better than my mom’s, and my mom made more lemon scones and we made 300 lemons into lemonade! It was cloudy and cold but people still came and brought their friends, and my grandparents came and visited with us while I sold lemonade and told people about the animals. I loved seeing the baby animals on the website and I love the raccoons that live in our tree, so I wanted to give all of the money from our 2nd lemonade stand to Critter Care. We get to give them $434.65 and I am so happy that the animals can get better and go back to live with their families. I also might get to meet Tucker, the bobcat who lives at Critter Care, and I get to tell him that I brought him money for toys even though he sleeps all day.

Thank you for looking after the animals, and I can’t wait to be old enough to come help too!

Love, Daniel Stanton
