Halloween at Critter Care Wildlife Society

HalloweenWorking at Critter Care is not a regular 9-5 job, and animals must be cared for 24/7 - often through the night. The majority of this work is done by our interns, who are from all corners of the globe.  A general intern motto is "work hard - play hard", and when they do have the opportunity to relax and let their hair down, they do it in style. For Halloween our interns eagerly dressed up - from pirates to polar bears - and went for dinner as a group, much to the amusement of restaurant staff. It seems being around animals 24/7 beings out their wild side!

Dear Prospective Intern,

We are exclusively a North American Native Mammal Rehab Center. About 75 - 80 percent of our work is with the babies. We are very busy from mid-March to September.

Spring, summer and very early fall brings the majority of our admissions. Winter is spent caring for the animals that were too small to release in the fall and who have to be wintered over, late babies, and we seem to get more injuries in the winter.

Internships will be offered all year long to interested and motivated individuals (Slackers need not to apply!!!). Preference will be given to those who stay longer than 2 months.

INTERNSHIPS ARE STRICTLY VOLUNTEER POSITIONS. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID ANY MONIES BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE ROOM AND BOARD.
